LAKEVILLE — Cortlandt “Corty” Cammann died Dec. 8, 2009, of a pulmonary embolism, at the age of 63. Corty was the dear son-in-law of Mary Claire Ullram and Rodney G. Aller of Lakeville.
Corty was born in New York City but grew up in Rye, N.Y. His family spent many weekends in Cornwall and later in Lakeville.
After graduating with a Ph.D. from Yale University, he joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor teaching organizational psychology.
He was a researcher at the Institute for Social Research and partner in the consulting firm Responsive Organizations, Inc., for five years. Corty was an independent consultant for more than 10 years.
A devoted husband, father and friend, he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Cassie; his children, Casey, Cailin and Craig; his grandchildren, Emma, Conor, Aidan and Arcadia; and two siblings, Marjorie LaBella and Carola Cammann.
He was predeceased by his parents, Priscilla and Robert Cammann.
In lieu of flowers, Corty’s family requests that donations be made to the Friends School in Detroit, 1100 St. Aubin Street, Detroit, MI 48207.
